About Me
A Passion For Sports Broadcasting
My name is David Asche, and I graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. I have been passionate about sports broadcasting since I was little when I would “call” my own games as I played them outside.
My collegiate years in the Norman and Oklahoma City area have been super influential in strengthening my journalism prowess with opportunities throughout the state.
Experience
Organizations I have been involved with include the NAHL’s Oklahoma Warriors Ice Hockey team, OU Nightly (OU’s Student-run Newscast), The Ref Sports Radio Network, and KREFSports.tv.
I look forward to being involved in any area of sports broadcasting with the ultimate goal of being the “voice” of a high school, college, or professional sports team for all their athletic events.
Skills and Abilities
Through college and post-grad work, I have amassed over 150 broadcasts as a play-by-play broadcaster covering 6 different sports including football, basketball, soccer, baseball/softball, volleyball, and wrestling. Outside of PxP, I’ve hosted over 20 live Coaches Shows and produced several feature stories focused on teams/athletes in the state of Oklahoma. These stories I film/edit/produce all on my own using Adobe software.
